Founded in 2024 by Jonathan J. Nelson, New Vision for Hope began as a calling to feed the hungry and bring comfort to unhoused men in South Los Angeles, including the Skid Row community. Since our inception, we have provided meals and care to hundreds of individuals, building trust and igniting hope in one of the nation’s most underserved areas.
Jonathan’s passion to make a difference grew from recognizing the lack of dedicated shelters for men in South LA. His unwavering commitment continues to inspire a movement to uplift the vulnerable and restore dignity.
“God gave me a vision to provide meals for unhoused men, with the goal of helping them get off the streets. It brings joy to my heart when we visit encampments, pass out meals, and witness the transformation as frowns turn into smiles of gratitude. Men experiencing homelessness deserve a second chance, and through compassion and practical support, we can give them hope and a pathway to a better future.” — Jonathan J. Nelson, Founding Director
